I have learned a great deal from Dr Post about the management of patients with anterior knee pain and/or patellar instability. I have never seen a more thoughtful and organized physician who considers each patient as an individual, not just a problem. And the icing on the cake is that not only is Dr Post a thoughtful and caring physician, but also a talented surgeon. I am grateful to call Dr Post a colleague.

I would like to make it clear, that the good people of Morgantown, and indeed all of West Virginia have a genuine World Class orthopedic surgeon in their midst. I have known Dr. Post for over 2 decades, and have seen and interacted with him at many national, and international conferences on the knee. He is very well respected, internationally, for his depth of knowledge and rational approach to all knee conditions. He has a special interest in problems related to Kneecap Problems (a recognized, particularly difficult area within the field of orthopedic surgery) and his logical, careful clinical approach to these patients are known to be safe and effective, and minimally invasive. He is a gentle man who approaches his practice from a position of deep Christian Faith that leads him to do his very best for every patient, without an over-riding focus on his "bottom line". In short, Dr. Post is a National Orthopedic Treasure, who just happens to reside in beautiful West Virginia. To those of you who may have a problem with your knee, or other joints: you would do well to make an appointment to see Dr. Post. You will be glad you did.

I have known Dr. Post for about 25 years and have found him to be one of the most ethical, careful and knowledgeable orthopedic surgeons I have known in that time. He is a scholar who wants to learn at the cutting edge of knowledge in the interest of delivering optimal care to his patients. I know he cares deeply and will always do the best he can for his patients, employing the best of modern technology and information.

I have known Dr. Bill Post for more than twenty years. During that time what has stood out, to me, are his honesty, his clinical skills and incisive diagnostic ability, and his intelligence.
Few people have the wisdom and patience necessary to lead a group of doctors. Bill has done an exemplary job leading the International Patellofemoral Study Group for roughly a decade. His success in this role speaks volumes to the extremely high regard in which he is held by his peers at both a national and international level. He is skilled in the operating room, as evidenced by his frequent stints as a teacher at advanced skills courses for practicing surgeons; and he is a patient and skilled teacher.
I have worked closely with Bill on numerous projects over the years. It is always a pleasure because he is such a dependable, honest and incisive collaborator. A good collaboration feels like you are swimming in a current, and will keep moving (and stay afloat) even if you pause in your own efforts. Working with Bill is always like that; he will show up and be accountable when you need him, even if you didn't expect it. You know where you stand with him, and you can always trust him to do what he says he will do.

I have known Dr. Bill Post for almost 20 years and was fortunate enough to visit his clinic a few years ago, where he organised for me to conduct a workshop for the local therapists.
Bill is compassionate, diligent and well organised. He has a very rounded knowledge of his areas of expertise – he is not only an excellent surgeon, but he also understands the value and effectiveness of well-executed, non-operative treatments. His focus is always on the best care and outcomes for his patients. Bill is actively involved in research and chairs international organisations where optimal care and best practice are the priorities. Bill listens to his patients and will always give them time to discuss their concerns and allay their fears about surgery. Bill communicates well with all the health professionals involved in his patients’ care, so his patients are assured of quality management of their conditions. Bill is passionate about his patients and the standards of his profession. For Bill, orthopedic surgery was a calling, which is why Bill is so good at what he does. The world certainly needs more Dr. Bill Posts!

I just want to say thank you for everything you have done for me personally and professionally. As a young AT right out of grad school and thrown right into Division 1 wrestling, you helped me by explaining the sport and various injuries that come with it, talking with coaches/athletes/parents, and if I was in pinch you were always there to help. I believe I learned more from you with your thorough evaluations, being able to observe surgeries, and your teachings than anyone else in my career. Out of all the physicians you went above and beyond which made my job a lot easier, and for that I cannot thank you enough!
I thoroughly enjoyed working with you and WVU truly doesn't know they quality of care they are losing. I hope to see you soon and wish you nothing but the best! I will also continue to refer my family and friends to you as well!
Thank you for everything,
